Volcanoes national park
Previously designed as the Albert national park in 1925 adjacent to virunga national park in DRC and mgahinga national park in Uganda, The current volcanoes national park is sited on 16,000 acres of land after a big encroachment that saw it reduce. With one of the best scenery forming from the chain of the cloud enveloping virunga ranges, this park is home to almost half the worlds remaining endangered mountain gorillas. Volcanoes national park remains as the most highlight for most Rwanda travelers where they can kill two birds with one stone. It parades itself as the ultimate destination for gorilla expedition in the African region with over 10 groups and families to visit and trackand some purposely left for research.
